What do you need to start?

• Your dog will need to be up-to-date on all of their vaccines and must have their rabies tag attached to them. Dogs without a rabies tag can be fined at the parks we frequent.
• Your dog will need to have basic leash walking skills and be comfortable walking in close proximity with other dogs.
• Each dog should have a form of tick prevention and be vaccinated for tick borne illnesses.
• Every dog must wear a properly fitted harness, preferably one with a front clip option such as an “Easy Walk” or a “Freedom No Pull Harness”. Leashes will be provided by Luxe Pet Resort.
• Your dog should wear an ID tag with their name and contact information in case of an emergency.
• Your dog must be friendly with others. It’s important to us that each pup has a great time so that means our hikers should get along. We’re trained to notice any turn in play that could result in aggression to further ensure everyone’s safety.
